Hi 👋 My name is Joël. I'm a 27 year-old guy from Switzerland.
I like doing a lot of things, probably because I'm curious and eager to learn new things. I'm open, fairly social and (almost) always happy. I'm dependable, versatile and creative. I like honesty, transparency, respect and equality. I like being productive, effective and efficient. I'm a big fan of positivity, motivation and mutual support.
I like beer, new technologies, gardening, woodworking, taking photos, making videos, creating websites, social media, creating content, hiking, running, playing badminton, connecting with interesting people, having deep conversations, nordic countries, planes, (electric) cars, music, and so much more.
Oh and I work in marketing and have a master's degree in management.

This internship was amazing. I had the opportunity to discover what social media really is all about. I ran a Facebook page with 16'000 followers and an Instagram page with 9'000 followers on my own for a couple months. I did everything myself: planning, writing, creating, posting, and analyzing content, as well as managing a community 24/7. Later, I shifted to other channels with less followers but much more freedom to explore new formats. I worked on many platforms ranging from Tik Tok to LinkedIn, shot photos and videos, and had a blast with the best team ever. Seriously, you won't find a better team.

University of Fribourg, Switzerland | Master of Arts in Management
I specialized in general management, marketing and HR. I learned how to embrace cultural diversity in a business rather than letting it affect productivity and cohesion. I learned that employees are the primary asset in any firm and that they should be treated as such. In my Master's Thesis ("Disintermediation in the aumotive industry: trends and consumer opinions"), I analyzed the changing role of car dealerships. In an era where consumers find more information online than ever before, the questions of agency issues and information asymetry are evolving.
2015 - 2018
University of Fribourg, Switzerland | Bachelor of Arts in Management
I visited courses ranging from finance and accounting over marketing and business informatics to statistics and math. I wrote a seminar thesis about mobile payments. I conducted a strategic analysis of Tesla as part of my Bachelor's Thesis and showed how the manufacturer stacks up against its competitors by means of a PESTEL analysis, a TOWS matrix, and a market segmentation analysis.
